Programs are designed to advance health equity within historically underserved populations (women of color, families at higher risk of pregnancy-related complications, and the medically uninsured / underinsured).

Dr. Lu Trenze Butcher-Mitchell is a mother to her son, who inspires her. She is an educator, motivational speaker, and founder of Trenz and Associates, LLC.

 

Bio:

Dr. Butcher-Mitchell is a board member for PUSH and is Vice Chair and Treasurer. Her background consists of twenty plus years of executive and professional level employment with the federal, state, non-profit, and for-profit entities. She has sixteen years of program and policy development and quality assurance expertise working in various capacities with a focus on youth and adult targeted populations. Dr. Butcher-Mitchell has ten years of healthcare administration experience working with the Department of Juvenile Justice. She has worked in academia for the past eight years and is a full-time course instructor with Western Governors University.

 

Dr. Butcher-Mitchell is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, Public Health, and Family Education. She holds a Master of Science degree in Administration with a focus in Health Administration from Central Michigan University and earned her Doctorate in Business Administration from Argosy University.
