Kimberly Newsome Sims, MD, FACP

Dr. Sims is currently a primary care internist in Pearland, Texas where she also oversees residents in a continuity clinic. She is also a clinical faculty for a Texas medical school. Dr. Sims is involved in several administrative committees through her employer, and co-chairs her organization’s Physician Burnout committee.

 

She completed her undergraduate training at Baylor University, Medical Doctorate at University of Texas Medical School at Houston (now McGovern), and residency training at Houston Methodist with Weill Cornell Medical College. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine.

 

Dr. Sims is involved in professional organizations including the American College of Physicians, Houston Medical Forum, and Mary Susan Moore Medical Society. She is a proud woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

 

Dr. Sims also enjoys volunteering with her church in their health and wellness ministry, and speaking in the local community to promote health, wellness, and preventative care. She is a proud wife and mom of two amazing boys.
